Copenhagen’s coverage on internet

The activist media are mobilizing the best of their resources to cover the conference in Copenhagen. Since it’s impossible to list all the blog streams, I highlight just a few of them.

Excellent video blogging is being made by The uptake group, which defines itself as „(…) an alternative to mainstream media, but mostly a training resource for your average or not-so-average Joe & Jane.”

On their website http://theuptake.org/ you can get an idea of what’s really going on in Copenhagen following the conference live. In addition, you will find video interviews with activist leaders, as well as twitter conversations.

Danish Indymedia also has information in English. You can find there reports of police control and power abuses, coverage of demonstrations and callender of activist events (ranging from conferences to direct action trainings).

There is also a live-blog in german from the luxembourgish magazine forum on their website.

Those who like irony, may go to the website of grist, „(…)dishing out environmental news and commentary with a wry twist since 1999”. At the „How føcked are we” channel you will find texts about industrial lobbies at Copenhagen, Copenhagen police’s shifts of 16 hours a day and the leaked agreement’s draft story (or non-story, according to some).
